The government of Assam launched a scheme for female citizens which will provide financial assistance. The name of the scheme is Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan which is also called MMUA. The scheme has been introduced by the government in 2024. With the help of the scheme, rural women entrepreneurs who are working hard to earn money will be empowered.
The government will offer financial assistance to women who have started the entrepreneurial journey solely and with the assistance of Self-Help Groups. Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan 2024
It is a unique condition which focuses on the number of children eligible for the beneficiaries. The government has tried to promote the development of eligible rural women who participated in Self Help Groups. The Abhiyan aims to transform beneficiaries into Rural Micro Entrepreneurs. The annual income target will be Rs. 1 lakh per member.
The officials will provide the benefits of the program to eligible ones. So, one must ensure eligibility before starting the application process. Around 2.5 lakh women will become a part of the Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan 2024. Apart from this, the socio-economic condition and the living standard of the beneficiaries will be improved.
Eligibility Criteria for the অসম মহিলা উদ্যোগীকৰণ অভিযান
The eligibility criteria is an important section in the following criteria. It will ensure that the needy ones are getting the benefits of the program. If any applicants do not fulfil any one of the conditions then they will not be provided with financial assistance. The following are the required eligibility conditions:
- Beneficiaries belonging to the General and OBC categories must not have more than 3 children.
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ Moran/ Matak/ Tea-tribes categories must not have more than 4 children.
- SHG members with girl children must have enrolled them in school.
- Trees planted under the Amrit Brikshya Andolan must have survived.
- They must submit a business plan supported by the government to get the benefits of the grant.
Benefits of the Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan
The following section includes details regarding the benefits which will be provided to eligible beneficiaries only. Below are the points explaining the benefits in detail:
- Rs. 12,500 will be offered by the government and Rs. 12,500 will be provided by the respective bank in the upcoming 2 years. This means a total of Rs. 25,000 will be provided.
- Rs. 10,000 will be offered to each member in the first year upon fulfilling the required eligibility criteria.
- The amount provided by the bank needs to be repaid. However, government support is a non-refundable amount.
- Around Rs. 35,000 is distributed over 3 years to every eligible beneficiary to support their journey of becoming a Lakhpati Baideo.
Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Loan Amount
The loan amount details are mentioned below which is being offered to eligible beneficiaries:
- 1st year: The government offers an initial amount of Rs. 10,000.
- 2nd year: In the second year, beneficiaries will get Rs. 12,500 from the state government, and the bank will provide a loan of Rs. 12,500 to beneficiaries.

- Secondly, visit the nearest panchayat office and ask for the application form.
